Mystery Horse Winners

I’m excited to announce the winners of the Mystery Horse Reader’s Choice writing contest. I bet you all had a hard time choosing. The voting went very well, so if you like this kind of contest (where you get a chance to vote to decide), then I will continue to offer them this way.

Winners

Ages 9-12

Trinity Santoro (age 12): “Mysteries, Thieves, & a Horse” >>

Ages 13-17

Arabella Waugh (age 14): “Wildfire’s Miracle” (with illustrations) >>

Runners Up

The other Top 3 finalists are the runners up (in no particular order). You can find links to all contest winners and runners up stories in Past Contests >>

Ages 9-12

Andi and the Dark Dually by Grace Berreth >>

The Mysterious Horse by Maddy Evans >>

Ages 13-17

Chad’s Palomino Problem by Madison Graham

A Mystery Horse and a Renewed Friendship by Anaiah Bruno

If your story did not place in the Top 3, it will not automatically be posted. If, however, you would like me to post your entry as a Fan Fiction story, I am happy to do that. Contact me or comment with your first name, age category, and the name of your story. See your stories with the Seasonal Contest Entries >>

I had lots of fun with this contest. I hope you all did too. I know there is a comment somewhere on the blog that lists ideas for other Circle C writing contests. I’m not sure where that went, but if you put your ideas in comments on this post, I will make sure I keep checking this post.

Thanks for your awesome participation!

  1. Hi! Would it be ok to post my contest entry? My name is Ella, the age category was 13-17, and my story was โ€œA Crashed Party.โ€

  2. Here are a few contest ideas, Mrs. M.
    1. Get some pictures of Andi and\Jem. We (the writers) can write stories around these pics.
    2. Something with robbers, kidnappers, thieves, etc. Maybe you can have a choice of bringing back bad guys you created, or letting us come up with our own “bad guys”.
    3. Like Danielle N. said, we can write a story that’s only been mentioned in the book.
    4. What happens with Andi and the treasure map she finds after the events in ‘Andi to the Rescue’.
Prizes? Any audiobook\book of winners choice. Hope this helps!
