  1. Mrs. M. What if someone were to send in a story they wrote, to have you judge it. This would not be for any contest. Just wanting to know your idea’s on the story.

    1. If you send in a fan fiction story I read it. But then I post it. (As long as it’s appropriate.) 😉 But I do not give individual feedback on it. I hope that makes sense. 😉

    1. I have no idea. You probably have to do what I would do…. Go through the titles on both Family and Friends. I do not keep copies of the stories.

You can also try the Writing Contest categories…. It might have been a contest entry….

  2. I LOVE YOUR BOOKS!! I just finished reading milestone books 5 and 6 and wow! THEY ARE SO GOOD! I love your style of writing, you are so very talented at what you do! DO you plan to keep writing Andrea Carter books? It would be fun if you wrote a series on another carter kid!

    1. Right now I’m just trying to keep my head above water. I have the study guide that goes with the Milestones 5-6 to finish before homeschool convention season! pant, pant. I’ll keep your ideas in mind, though. I do write short stories and Andi’s Journal posts on this blog, but I’m sure that is not enough for you. LOL

  3. Like maybe if you wrote about Chad’s life or Mitch so that it would still be related to ranch/horse stuff but another series!!! I just love your books so much and always want more lol!

  4. Hello, Mrs. Marlow! I was wondering if you could post all of the stories under the name “Brianna” on your blog.
    Thank you!

  5. In all the contest entries sent to you. I couldn’t find a place to comment in the “Contest Entries”
    I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear

  6. I am still not sure what you are asking. I do not automatically post all entries. If you want your contest entry posted, you need to contact me privately with your name, age, which contest and the name of the story. I don’t keep the stories forever, so I might not even have it if it’s been a long time from the contest. In that case, you would have to resend the entry. I hope that makes sense.

    1. Do you mean the Spring Contest that is going on right now?
You can write about anything you want, but understand that the prompt is there for a reason, and the judges will have seen the prompt/video. The strange horse showing up on the ranch is the prompt, but you can take that and go in pretty much any direction you want. But the Circle C characters need to show up somehow in the story (at least, if you want a fighting chance of winning). I have read stories in the past that had nothing to do with the Circle C or Goldtown. The writer had just written a short story and sent it in, thinking it might have a chance. It did not. (This was for the annual contest, and I was amazed. The story was about a handicapped boy at school. Say WHAT?)
Circle C writing contests usually revolve around the Circle C and any characters you want to make up to interact with them. But not necessarily Andi. You are free to expand and write about any Circle C character (or Goldtown) so long as it has something to do with the strange horse that showed up.

      Does that help?

  7. One more question ( sorry, i have too many questions!), if i send in a story for fan fiction, could i use that story for a later contest?

    1. I’m afraid not. Once the story is posted on the blog as fan fiction, it can’t be used as a contest entry. However, it’s okay the other way around. A contest entry (even if it doesn’t win) can be offered as fan fiction and I’ll post anyone who asks me to post a contest entry on fan fiction.

    1. I combined and put all of the stories onto one page. I never did have a special page for Goldtown Fan Fiction. The story links were listed under “Andi’s Friends.” But I moved all of the stories from Andi’s Friends onto the main page. It was getting too confusing to have too many pages to go to in order to find stories and I wanted them all together (original fan fiction). Contest entries are on the Contest page.

  10. Justin and Andi are sixteen years apart right? My little sister Izzy and I are thirteen years apart so I was wondering how far apart the Carter siblings were. Izzy is just like Andi in a sense. She has black hair and blue eyes and has five older siblings on earth. Her older sister is in heaven, rejoicing with the angles. Izzy also loves animals and cowgirl hats.

    1. I don’t know how I missed this, Emma. So sorry! It goes like this: Andi 12, Melinda 17, Mitch 22, Kate 25, Chad 27, Justin 28.
At the time of the CCAdventures, that is.

  11. Cool!😀 Just a suggestion, your sister should do that Circle C character look-alike contest. It’s an ongoing contest until Mrs. M. gets 12 pics. You can find it on Blog Posts, but you have to scroll down to find it. 😉

  13. do any of your books actually have andi’s 14 bday take place? I know it mentions it in thick as thieves but do you actually have a scene of it happening? 😀

    Like

    1. There is mention of it, but it didn’t move the plot along so I didn’t expand the scene. Is this what you recognize? This is all I’ve got, so if you’re writing something, I could see a fun scene expanded from just this quickie memory.

      -from Chapter 16-
Andi sat lost in thought. At Macy’s bleak recital, gratitude for her own family welled up. Her birthday celebration last Sunday after church had resonated with laughter, gifts, and good food. Later that evening Justin had put his arm around Lucy and announced their July wedding date. Stuffed full of tamales and birthday cake, Andi cheered along with the rest of her family.

  14. Hey, there was a contest story that I can’t find anymore. It was in one of the older contest books. Is there any way to be able to read it again?
