  10. We just came back from Mexico yesterday, before we went to Cloud Croft and the time before that we went to Ruidoso and the time before that we went to Florida for Diseny World. All this year!!

    1. I’m sorry but you can’t post stories in the comments. If it’s a fan fiction story, send it to me and I will post it on the blog. But I delete comments with stories in them. You can create a blog to post all your stories and I would include that right here on fans blogs. 😉

      1. My friend’s first name is Erin (her pseudonym, as she is not allowed to publish under her real name).

        The Children’s Home is currently being re-edited, and its sequel is nearly finished. After that, the sequel will be edited and beta-read before being combined with The Children’s Home. I will have that done by late August at most.

      6. Oh, and by the way, you might tell your friend Erin that I went on Amazon to find With Eyes of Blue but it’s not on Kindle. Kindle is easy to do. Suggest she do it. I was prepared to download a sample to see if I wanted to read it, since I do like books about Egypt. Also, she has 965 BC as the date on the back cover, but on your website/blog, she says it’s the year 1567 BC. That is a BIG difference and a huge difference in the dynasties. I suggest she check her dates and be consistent. (Yes, once a teacher/editor, always a teacher/editor.) LOL

    1. I go through the Fans Blogs periodically and delete blogs that have not posted anything in the past six months. That’s why I took your blog down (you have not posted anything since August 23, 2022). I have gone ahead put it back up at your request, but see if you can at least post something fresh maybe once a month? This will keep you current. The Fans Blog page is for blogs and not just static websites/stores. There are a couple of other fans blogs that also sell crafts and things, but they also blog, so that’s fine with me! I like to support and share things you all make. But I don’t want to get into the trap of only posting a bunch of websites, if that makes sense? Readers like to see what you’re up to besides just having a store. I think the posts that you have are really nice! I’m sure visitors to your site would love to read more. 😊

  30. So I watched your video on how to start a blog and I saw it gave you the option to sell your items. If i wanted to create a store would WordPress do it for free?

    1. Unfortunately, you can’t set up a WooCommerce store on a free WP site. You have to have a business option for that. However, although I have not tried it to see if it works, if you have PayPal, you can get the HTML code for a PayPal button (you have to go onto PayPal to get it. I used to sell my books with PayPal “Buy it now” buttons before I went to a WordPress website) and possibly embed that into onto a page. It’s unlikely that it will “stick” without at least a “personal” WP option. The free WP blogs are limited with what you can do business-like. Yes, it always shows the options in the Plug ins, but when you try to activate it, it gives you a message of what kind of a WP account you need. For instance, I can upload audios and videos, but you can’t even upload audio samples with a free site.

      Hope that helped!

      However, yes, everything is FREE (store, WooCommerce, etc.) if you have a business upgrade with WordPress.

    1. Before I add a blog, I look at it and check random content, but I do not read every blog post of a blog before putting it up. If a reader finds something I missed that might put the content of a blog in question, I always appreciate a head’s up. I am definitely not infallible. 🤣

    1. Are they supposed to be “published” on the Home Page? Or do you have a special page for the blog posts?
      You should check to see (in the “Customize” tab under “Appearance”) in the Home Page settings, that you have “blog posts” checked to be your home page. What is your blog address, out of curiosity?
      That is the only thing I can think of, since I don’t have access to your blog settings.

  34. Hi, Mrs. Marlow! I have a question. Do I need to upgrade my plan (I have the free one) on WordPress to be able to create a subscription form to go on my blog? Are there any free ones that I can use instead of upgrading?

    1. What do you mean a subscription?
      So you mean so people can follow you?
      Find the “subscribe” block. Or something like that
      You can have a subscribe block on all WP even the free plans.

      2. I’m not on my computer so it’s a little hard to explain. I suggest you Google it like….. How do I add a subscribe block to my WP site?
        If you know where the blocks are and you click the + sign to add a block, you can search for the kind of block you want just by typing, like *image ” or “heading ” or “subscribe ” or even “YouTube ” etc. give it a try.

  44. Mrs. M, do you know what it means when I go to the subscribers section in my WordPress settings, and there are people on the list who show as ‘not subscribed’? I got an email before when these people subscribed, and if they unsubscribed, why are they still showing on my list? One of the people who’s showing up as ‘not subscribed’ is still liking my posts, so I know she’s still seeing them, but I don’t know whether she’s just going to my blog or reading the emails (she has a 0% open rate).

    1. Honestly, Josie, I can’t seem to figure out the whole WP subscribers, etc. It’s very confusing so I don’t have a clue why yours is showing up like that. LOL
      My solution is I just ignore it. 😉
