Playing Catch Up!

It’s been a very, very long week, and since Mrs. M had no “back up” posts that could be posted automatically, I’m afraid I’ve about run out. However, all is not lost. For some of you, yes, it’s probably a ho-hum “been there done that” moment, but I took a few of the old Andi’s Journal entries and put them onto the Circle C stories page. You can click the image to go to the stories page and see what I’ve been up to.

I’ve had a few comments asking “Where is [fill in the title]?” for some pages that no longer work. I have taken down Orphan Calf, Prince Loco, Hurrah for the Fourth of July, Virginia’s Riding Lesson, and Where the Trees Meet the Bay (both as printed and audio stories). They are old stories from the original “Tales” book that are in the process of being expanded, revised, and readied for the new Circle C story collection, with the official title of Andrea Carter and More Tales from the Circle C Ranch (Circle C #7, Anniversary Edition), and I even have a release date (sort of). Winter 2025, so that could be anywhere from December 2024 (in time for Christmas) or into 2025).

These are the nine stories that will be included in the new collection.

  1. Orphan Calf
  2. Prince Loco
  3. Race to the Finish Line
  4. Virginia’s Riding Lesson
  5. Roping Gone Wrong (yes, I’m finishing the Andi and the Calf story at last!)
  6. Andi’s Icy Encounter
  7. A Close Call
  8. Summer on the Sound
  9. The Lost Mine

The cover will probably look very similar to this (maybe a different color?), but the editorial “team” really liked my cover concept, so I have high hopes. (The title is wrong here. Oh, well.)

Some of you have expressed interest in my putting together a book that collects Andi’s Journal entries over the years. So, feel free to go to the Andi’s Journal category, find your favorite entries, and comment here on this post with which journal entries you would most like to see in such a collection. (Do not say “all of them,” as the book would be too long and too expensive to print.) Just sayin’…

I'm the author of the Circle C and Goldtown Adventures series. I blog as "Andi Carter," the main character in the Circle C series. She lives on a huge cattle ranch in 1880s California. These are her adventures.

  1. This is fun!

If you put a journal entry book together, these are four entries that I like . . . “Jared’s Swimming Lesson”, “Chad and the Goat”, “A Visit from Cousin Sofia”, and “Mail-Order Brides”.

    Thanks for this post!

  2. I read the Thanksgiving journal entries recently and have been wondering one thing; did Ellen have children after she “kidnapped” Lottie?

      1. Hmm…maybe! I will see. Or it can be a prompt for the fallsummer contest, if you are going to do prompts…or it can be an optional prompt, an idea for some writers…πŸ€”πŸ˜€
