Art Contest Winners

Wow! Overwhelming voting! Between 130-194 votes came in for each of the different categories. Some entries were pretty close, as well. (And no, I’m not going to go into that much detail as to which categories had entries very close, so please do not ask.) Thanks so much for showing these young artists your “love” by voting.

I hope everybody had fun, and I want to give a shout out to my incredible judges–Colleen Reece and Donna Patton. They are always available to help me out for whatever contest I might be hosting. In addition, Ms. Patton has taken art classes, so she had a good eye for choosing some of the finalists.

I am not sure when (if ever) I will host another one. Maybe next summer? The art contest was a lot of work to organize to keep all of the entries matched with the correct artists. Although it’s easier to judge than a writing contest, the displaying and voting for SIX categories was a challenge to set up.

Also, I have received requests for another look-a-like contest, and I might host a writing contest too later on in the fall/winter. So stay tuned.
