I’m going to go ahead and annouce the What Am I Winner so you don’t have to wait for December’s what am I game in the newsletter. And the winner is . . . Daisy J. I received 131 guesses, and out of those, 59 guessed correctly (so those of you who wished for a harder What Am I got their wish. Only half of the entries guessed correctly.) Since it was a little tough, I accepted any of these: yarn, knitted garment, knitted sweater, knitted blanket.
The main thing was you needed to either include the word “yarn,” or indicated that it was something knitted (not crocheted). Nor was it rope or twine. Most of the wrong guesses said “rope” or “twine.” So, congratulations, Daisy, and I hope to hear from you within 48 hours, or I will choose another winner.
And for anyone who is interested . . . I did receive plenty of entries for the contest–21 in the ages 13-17, and 16 in the ages 9-12. I have not decided if it will be a judges only winner or if I will turn it into a Reader’s Choice voting. You can help me decide in the comments.

My story is almost done!! I really hope there are enough people who enter!

Just sent mine in! Does it look like there will be enough for the older age group at least? (That’s the one I’m in)

Did I acknowledge that I got your story?
And no … So far there are not enough entries. However, most stories come in the evening of the deadline. Lol. Which is Wednesday @5pm Pacific time.

Reader’s choice would be fun if it is judged fairly! It would be fun to read and try to decide why story is better, but likely the main reason why i want to do readers choice is so i can read more stories sooner!😁

How would a readers choice be judged “un-fairly”? 🤣

If a story written by a siblingfriend was put up for voting and a person voted for it just to support them even if the other story could’ve been better….or if it was rigged, like u said happened in the past

Well, that is totally between them and God, and besides, any story put into a reader’s choice vote….. Well, it means all three choices would be good stories, so what you are mentioning is really not an issue…..

BTW. Rigging can never happen again. If I see it, that story gets disqualified

Mrs. M , when you decided to write a book , how did you decide on which time period ?

I was in love with old TV westerns and wrote fan fiction in that time period. So that transferred to my own stories.
