Giveaway Winners & Consolation Gifts

King Sumo Giveaways chose these random winners.

  1. Circle C Adventures Christmas Bundle: Meg Junker (out of over 1,600 entries and 221 contestants).
  2. Goldtown Beginnings Christmas Bundle: Esther Shingler (out of over 1,000 entries and 151 contestants).

If you entered either (or both) contests, watch for a special email (check your promotions tab or even your Spam) that announces the winner and gifts you with a consolation prize for entering. Circle C entrants receive the Epub Long Ride Home expanded edition for your Kindle or other E-reader. Goldtown entrants receive the full audiobook of Badge of Honor to stream or download. The email goes out at 9 am Central Time.

Only those who entered the contests receive these prizes. An email is sent to every entrant, so if you do not get one, it probably means it was either lost in your Spam or you have unsubscribed from the Circle C or Goldtown newsletter list in the past. Although you were part of the drawing, being unsubscribed means you cannot receive any subsequent emails. I found two “unsubscribed” contestants who entered the contest (and were part of the drawing), but they will not have received the consolation email or the gifts. That’s how it works with my newsletter hosting service.

    I entered the giveaway with my mom’s email, and even though my mom is signed up for the newsletter (I’m pretty sure), she received no email regarding the consolation gifts. She did have some problems with her email, but everything’s working now and she has received other previous emails from you/the blog. Did we do something wrong? Is there a difference between being subscribed to the blog (and receiving emails) and subscribed to the newsletter?

    1. Yes, there is a difference between the newsletter and the blog subscriptions.

      If at any time you or your mom unsubscribed from the newsletter, then even though you can enter the giveaway, my newsletter will not send any emails to previously unsubscribed followers.

      I sent out a newsletter yesterday with the What Am I guessing game. Did you receive that one? If not, it means you are not on the main list. I sent the consolation email to all of the giveaway entrants, so if you did receive it, then it either went to your Spam folder or unsubscribed at some point in the past

      If you email me your email address, I will check to see if you are on the list. I can resubscribe you, and then I can send you the consolation email.
