  1. Mrs. M, could I possibly base my story off a true story? I would change the time, characters, setting etc. to fit in with the Circle C stories, but keep the main storyline based off something that really happened

  2. Hello Mrs. M! What horse would Andi have ridden when she was really young. (like a couple years before Chad gave her Taffy) Thanks ❤

    1. Not quite sure what you are asking. There are over 1,000 comments here. I see them all. You might need to click on “older” comments to get them to keep coming up.

  3. Hello Mrs. M!
    I have a few questions:

1). What is Andi’s favorite breakfast?

2). If Mitch and Liberty Flanders where would they live and what would Mitch be doing?

3). I would like to do research on Liberty Flanders, what books does she appear in or mentioned?

    Thank you for your time!

  4. Mrs. M, can I do a story about picture #5 from one of the girls POV, or does it have to be from a ranch characters POV?

(Sorry if the answer is obvious, I have never done one of these before.)

  5. If someone had too long of a word count for one story, could they continue it in another story as they’re second one? or do they have to be two separate stories?

  6. Is there a recommended word minimum? What is your advice on a good length?

  7. I was wondering if my sister and I work together on one story and send it in, what age group do we send it in as? My sister is 12 and I am 14. Would we be able to send it in the 13-17 age group or will she and I have to write seperate stories? My sister is turning 13 on October 19.

  8. Howdy Mrs. M, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions, to help me out in my story for the current writing contest……..
How old was Riley when he moved to Fort Apache?
What was his usual day like at fifteen years old? Like did he just do what he wanted with Midnight and the other horses, or did he have a lot of work to do each day? Also did he sleep in a bunkhouse type place, or did his family have their own house?
Sorry for so many questions! I’m just a little stuck on my story as I realized I don’t actually know a lot about what happened to Riley in the years he was away from the Circle C!

    1. It will probably be a lot like the day in his life at Ft. laramie, except no school.

I have not gotten around to writing about the Fort Apache time. But I did throw together a timeline for when I finally got around to it. This might help from my notes: (his family has their own cabin) but i suppose he could sleep in the barracks occasionally if you wanted to make it so.
Fort Apache ages 12-15 May 1879-1881
      • Midnight dies
      • Indian Attack
      • Takes over the horses—care and feed
      • Bear and Bull fights
