Kick-off Art Gallery

Enjoy the entries for the Circle C Kick-off to Summer Art contest. Here is the prompt:

Imagine yourself living on a ranch in the 1880s. What would you spend your time doing? Lassoing? Riding a horse? Watching a sunrise or sunset? Or? Use your imagination to write an original piece about your favorite place on the ranch or a favorite ranch activity in less than 500 words, or create a short poem. Or you may create an original piece of artwork about your favorite place or favorite activity.

All 34 pieces of submitted artwork (with captions) are posted in the order in which they were received (and in the best way to lay them out for easy viewing). Note: some submissions did not follow the prompt. During the judging, if a decision had to be made between two pieces of artwork, the one closest to following the prompt received priority.
