Circle C Summer Writing Contest

It’s here! Starting July 7 (and going through August 18), you have six weeks to write a short story using one of the dozen photo prompts on the Current Contest page. This is going to be an awesome contest. Why? You can write practically anything you want (Circle C or Goldtown related) because the choices are so diverse. Pick a photo, read the suggestions (but you don’t have to use my ideas), then branch off and go wherever your imagination takes you!

Head over to the Current Contest to find the rules, the prizes, and how to submit your stories. The judges and I can’t wait to read them.

And yes, due to popular demand and a successful reader’s choice contest last spring, we will narrow the finalists down to the top three (it’s so hard!) and allow you readers to choose the grand-prize winner. What is different this time, however, is that while the top winner receives the physical prize, the runners up also get (digital) prizes. How cool is that?

I'm the author of the Circle C and Goldtown Adventures series. I blog as "Andi Carter," the main character in the Circle C series. She lives on a huge cattle ranch in 1880s California. These are her adventures.

    1. Only the top 3 from each category and you eventually get to vote for the story you like best…. To determine the top winner. You also get to read any submitted story that the writer requests I post after the contest is over. Does that make sense?

  1. How old does Andi have to be in the prompt with the white horse? Can she be still in her mid-to-late teens before marrying Riley or does she have to be Memory Creek age?
