Are. You. Kidding. Me? As you can see by the results of the survey voting, it’s “even Steven” for choosing an annual contest or the four times a year more “casual” writing contests. So this was no help at all, I’m sad to say. It means that I will end up making the decision, and I guess I better make it fast because if I host an annual contest, the contest usually launches on September 1. If I do opt for this, I will streamline the process and try to do everything on line rather than the entry form being mailed in.
Anyway, thanks for your input . . . I think. LOL

Oh no! That didn’t help at all! So all the pressures on you, Mrs. M! Lol!

Here’s an idea Mrs. Marlow. Since this year we have done the seasonal contest, we could finish this year with a winter story like normal and then next year you could start the annual contest. (Of course, this is only if you decide to do the annual contest.) Another idea is next year to do a summer contest and then the normal September contest, so two contests in one year. Summer contests help older girls who have school the rest of the year. Just thinking out loud.😉

I know most kids start school in September or just a few weeks into it.

I think it would be great to have an annual contest every other year and the four times a year on alternate years.(every other). That way, you could do both! It would just go back and forth between years.

Before I read Annie’s suggestion I was thinking the same thing. Alternate between 1 and 4 contests every other year.

I agree with Annie! Switching out would be fun! (But also, it’s not quite even-steven. You got a few more votes for Annual!)

Then why aren’t you just doing Annual????? Is it because of how even it was? And you want to satisfy all your fans?

I would like to do Annual, but becuase of schoolwork, I might not have the time to submit. Doing a seasonal contest allows me to participate at least once and hone my skills
