New Colors for Goldtown

My publisher is redoing the covers–at long last!–and here are three of the finals. Notice anything different? If you guessed they have different colors, then you guessed right. I requested that the production team give each book in the series a different border and spine, and they agreed. So, whenever the next book goes into a reprint, they will pick another color for the border and spine. Canyon of Danger is scheduled for reprint first, so that is why I have a new design for that cover. Dark brown. The new Valley of Treasure cover was changed to dark forest green, and Ocean of No Escape kept the original navy blue color. I am very excited about this! Remember when I threw the Canyon of Danger covers out to you–and 99.9% chose the “rifle” cover? Kregel heard you and decided to go along with the rifle picture. Yay!

Here are the cover flats for the reprint of Canyon of Danger, along with the two new books. The new books just headed off to the printer the end of last week! You can read the final back cover copy (I love the compass they chose for Ocean!)

      3. I can’t decide which fan fiction stories are my favorite!! They are all so good! I have never WRITTEN any stories but I like to think them out in my head and outline the plot. Sadly I will be too old to enter any contests but I’m hoping to write some fan fiction with my younger sister Emilie soon! Have you written any fan fiction stories? If so which ones?
