Off to the vet go Maggie and Jewels . . . If you recall, Maggie lost her foal, most likely due to her age (24 years old). She got a hormone shot and went into heat, and Rubicon and she got together. Rubicon has like a . . . 99.9% “settling” average. In other words, a mare needs only be bred one time to Rubicon, and she’s pregnant. But we always wonder. So, did Rubicon keep up with his marvelous record? Is Maggie pg? Kristel wasn’t sure, so she gave her progesterone shots starting one week after being in heat, just in case. The vet said she lost the first foal because she was not producing enough progesterone to maintain the pregnancy.
And what about Jewels? Is her foal still alive and kicking? Can we see a heartbeat yet? Watch the video and find out. If Maggie is indeed pregnant, Kristel will continue the progesterone for 120 days.

Awe! So happy for y’all!
