The Final Ultrasound

This is it. The final ultrasound, Lord willing, for Jewels (Taffy’s dam) and Maggie (the free mare who lost her first foal because of her age and lack of progesterone). Since she went into heat last month, Kristel has been giving her progesterone shots to hopefully maintain the pregnancy. At 16 days, she had a foal, so she kept up the shots. The “big” day came, and would there be a heartbeat and a healthy foal? Or did Maggie lose this foal too? And can we see anything new with Jewels’s foal? She is three weeks farther along than Maggie. If they are both pregnant and sustain their pregnancies, then . . . Jewels will be due June 7 and Maggie three weeks later. Watch this 3-minute video to learn the answers to all of these questions.
