I don’t have time to do more than give you the joyous news. Jewels foaled last evening (Saturday night). The filly has exceeded even Kristel’s expectations. A beautiful buckskin paint tobiano (or tovero, or something rare like that). Rubicon’s (the sire) previous owner couldn’t believe her eyes when Kristel texted her photos. You are very lucky! She is Rubicon’s first buckskin pain tobiano FILLY.
And . . . she has one blue eye (like Rubicon’s eyes) and one brown eye. Rubicon has only thrown one other foal like this. AND . . . she has a pretty double whorl between her eyes. More coming tomorrow, Kristel has promised to name her this afternoon. I will announce all of that and more images Monday, Lord willing! For now, enjoy these first peeks and then scroll down and click on the image to watch the video. We are in love!

Oh my!! She is sooo beautiful! That one blue eye and those blond-ish eyelashes are just gorgeous! I was really hoping that she would be a buckskin Tobiano! I can’t wait to find out what they choose to name her! Thank you, Mrs. M. for taking the time to share this update and these pictures with us!

I can hardly wait until the name is announced. You know, I don’t know how everyone would feel about this but a fun idea would be to have a list of all the names that were submitted. I would enjoy seeing everyone’s creative ideas. I don’t know about the rest of you guys though or if it’s a lot of work. 😉
