Fan Fiction

Here is Part One of a new fan’s story. (Well, she’s not a “new” fan, but I’ve never received a story from her before.) She’d better get busy on part two, because I’m sure we all want to read it.

A Visit to Melinda Part One . . . by Kristi Hope

I’m not quite sure what to call TheOneAndiFan’s latest contribution, LOL. A mini-mini fan fiction? I’ll post it right here. It’s too short to go with the rest of the fan fiction. It’s a fun little story, though.

The Gentling of Loco

Useless horse! 27 year old Chad Carter thought as he stood up from the ground after being thrown by Prince Loco. Again. Loco snorted and flagged his tail high above his saddle.

“Nice riding,” 12 year old Andi mocked. Chad’s face went hot. “Let me try.”

Chad, in a mixture of impatience and shame,“By all means, little sister!” he yelled and pushed his sister in. She stayed quiet, a trait usually unseen. Loco snorted his confusion. Andi took a step closer. So did Loco. Eventually, Chad’s jaw was dropped practically to the ground. Andi was trotting on Loco in figure eights.

“No fair!” Chad yelled like an eight year old.

“Is too fair, Chad Carter.” The calm girl dismounted and flashed him a smile as she walked the now tame horse to the grooming station.

“No way!” Justin exclaimed.

“Yes way! You should have seen the look on Chad’s face when I was trotting the figure eights!” Andi laughed.

“Now, Andrea,” Mother scolded “Don’t make fun of Chad. He’s just more used to a… heavier hand in riding.”

“Yes, Mother.” Andi agreed and shot a twinkling look at Chad. “I suppose.”

    1. You know katie, I would love to.. but I’m at bible study this morning and we’re heading out to Texas in 2 days so I have a ton of stuff to do before we leave and I just can’t take the time to go play on my computer this afternoon on a chat box. Once I’m settled in Texas in a couple weeks then things will slow down for me I hope.

    1. She stays with her daughter in Teaxas and stays part of the year. Like a few months. I don’t know much but I think this is what she told me…. Can’t remember….
