I had a good showing with 227 contestants and over 1,000 entries. I’m excited to announce that our own Micaiah C. was randomly chosen by the King Sumo giveaway app. She is the winner and has 48 hours to reply to the email I sent out. Thanks for playing, everyone! Also, there is still timeContinue reading “Christmas Gift Basket Winner!”

As promised, I’m hosting a reader’s choice “look-a-like” contest. Here’s how it works. Scroll down and enjoy these thirteen entries (posted in the order in which they were received). After that, vote for your favorite on the Google form at the bottom of this post. Newsflash . . . I hope to go back toContinue reading “Look-a-like Contest Voting”

Today is the last day to send me your photo for the Look-a-like contest. Voting starts tomorrow November 30! So far, I have ten entries, which is doable. I think after the New Year, I will also go back and do a Readers’ Choice Look-a-like for Rounds One and Two (since they were random before).Continue reading “Last Day for Look-a-like Entries”

I worked hard to put up all the rest of the fall 2023 seasonal entries. You will see for yourselves how hard it was for the judges to choose a winner, and why they also chose a couple runners up for each age category, which of course you can see on the Seasonal Winners pageContinue reading “Fall Contest Entries Up!”

I’m excited to announce the winners of the Circle C fall 2023 contest. One from each age category. Note: This is a very busy week coming up, packing to go to CA. I will try to post the entries a few at a time. Since there were 50 (gasp!) entries for this little contest, it’sContinue reading “Fall 2023 Contest Winners”

Due to the large number of entries (comparable to some of the annual contests!), the judges need more time to work through the entries. The Fall Contest Winners will be announced next Monday, October 23, instead. I really needed to give them more than one weekend. This is much more of a response to aContinue reading “Winners Announcement Delayed”

Just a quick reminder. The fall 2023 writing contest ends Thursday, October 12, at 5pm Pacific Time. That is today. As soon as possible after the contest closes, I will send off your entries to my two judges (one for each age group).
