  2. I had an idea for the characters page but could not figure out how I would comment on that page lol so I am commenting here instead. Just curious why did you change the picture you last had of Ellie? Btw..I love that you changed Chads picture to be much more of like an old west cowboy kind of picture…would love to see the same of Mitch and the others.

    1. I had so many “bot” spam comments on some pages, up to 6,000 one time (like the character page), that I discovered the easiest fix is to close the comments on any page that has repeat bot spam comments (some are in Russian. Go figure). So, sorry, but that’s the way it has to be. I can’t spend hours cleaning out Spam comments from my dashboard every month. 😊

      Regarding the characters. I try to stay away from well-known character actors. Everybody always kept saying (regarding Ellie), “Oh, I know her.” She is so-and-so in some TV series that I have never watched. So when I found a different photo, I thought it would work better. I changed Chad to Nick Barkley (whom I created Chad to be like) from an old western TV series. Same with Justin (Jarrod Barkley). However, Mitch will stay Mitch. I like his picture better than Lee Majors, who is too well known for me to use under any circumstances. And the “Heath” character is too old for Mitch.

  3. Lol!! Ok that makes sense! Hopefully that didn’t sound rude as I know finding pictures is so much harder than it seems! I love your books so so much!! Please keep writing:)

  4. Do you know what the name of the lady used for Ellie’s last picture is? Or what show she is from? My younger sister never saw the last picture and was wondering what she looked like.

    1. I do not. I only know the new picture is from the Circle C Look-a-like contest I hosted a month or two ago. I don’t know who the original Ellie was. I just found her on Google Images. She’s an actress.

    2. If you meant the picture of Ellie with a black, red, and white shawl and her hand on a tree trunk, that’s me! : ) I’m just an ordinary Andi Carter fan who entered the look alike contest. Mrs. M liked my picture and asked if she could use it as Ellie, and I agreed. For me, it is an honor, and I was quite thrilled! But yeah, I’m not an actor or anyone famous. ; )

    1. That’s my intention but honestly, I’m so busy that I haven’t had time to even write a script, much less find photos and videos. Boo. I have to write Goldtown Books instead (I’d much rather create videos!)

  7. Where would the Carters buy cattle? In one book – i don’t remember which one – Chad told Andi that Mitch was on a cattle buying trip. I think it was one book from one of the two youngest series.

    3. I named Samuel James after my grandson, who died at birth. He had anencephaly (part of his brain was missing) back in 2004.
      I can do a post on it sometime if you guys want to know the background of this.

  11. Mrs M, do you think you could do a blog post of the Carters house? I mean, could you show what you imagend there house looked like… like if the picture was taken of the house above and you could see were there rooms where and the front door (Etc) thanks if you could. 🙂

    1. It’s just everything. My daughter and her husband and the kids have been sick since the end of January. Really sick. One at a time, so it’s dragging out. Right now, Kristi (age 10) has it. I’ve had to keep house, do the laundry, the meals, feed and care for the gazillion goats, the horses, etc. And homeschool the five that are doing school (not the sickies). Most then got bronchitis and need antibiotics. Plus in my very “spare” time I MUST get the Goldtown 5 book finished and then write nook 6, and I don’t really want to, so that is kind of a stress.

      The blog is not a stress. It’s fun and the least of my concerns. But creating house plans when I don’t really even know what it looks like is not something I feel I can take the time to do. Too much work to plan and design and think it through. A few years ago, a fan created an entire ranch layout for me (I think it included a simply floor plan) and barn, out buildings, etc. But I don’t know where that went.

    1. Well, sort of. There is a main-type of road through the valley, and there’s a turn-off that goes to the Circle C. But you have to keep going along the main track and up into the foothills until it turns off to Memory Creek.

    1. Well . . . that’s a good question. I guess I do other things and wish I didn’t have deadlines. LOL
      And I also pray for my daily “manna,” and so far God has provided. As far as just stories, I never seem to have trouble thinking of fun Andi stories, but I don’t have time right now to have fun like that. I have to write the last Goldtown book and it is a sore trial to me, but God will see me through and help me create a fun story!

Mrs. M., I have been with your blog for a long time and have noticed that you sell some of your books both on Amazon and your Circle C store and i have a question for you; is it legal to buy books penned by yourself at tge authors price off of Amazon and sell them for the same price at your own website? I am sorry if i am sounding acussing because i’m not, i’n just curious. ☺ Also, do you have any details about the fall seasonal contest? Thanks
