Name Maggie’s Colt & Filly Update

Remember that string test? According to that, Maggie’s foal is going to be a colt. So let’s have some colt names. As you noticed with Treasure, my daughter, Kristel, is committed to choosing a name for this new little one that one (or two) of you. So, read on and send in your suggestions.

Kristel needs a name for the colt that is due this week. You can send your name ideas in on the Google Form. You may offer suggestion, but it can be a compound name of two or three names. Keep reading . . . (Contest runs from today, Monday, June 23 – Saturday, June 28.) The colt will probably be born by Wednesday, but I’ll give you a few extra days, as this is sort of last minute.

The only requirment is that the name “Moon” (in some form) be part of this colt’s registered name. Kody, the first colt, is Royale Dakota Moon (as an example), but you can use “Moonlit” or anything else that you can think of, like “Moon Dancer” or “Moonshine” or even use three names (like Kody above).

Maggie and the sire, Rubicon, can only produce a buckskin or a palomino, most likely with a large blaze. So far, Maggie has produced a number of buckskins and one palomino (with Rubicon). Just thought that might help with a name.

Choose a Book as Your Prize!

Just as with the “Choose the Filly’s Name” contest, I am offering the book of your choice to the name my daughter chooses. See the image and list of the available books. Last time, the two names were unique (in other words, no one else suggested the names the two winners suggested—Kristel used one from each suggestion).

Note: In the event that more than one person suggests the same name, I may have to have a drawing, as I do not have unlimited books, say, for ten people that all suggested the same name. Thank you for your understanding.
