Thank you for the incredible entries! It was so hard to come up with just two that I have engaged my author friend, mentor, and judge, Colleen Reece, to give me a hand. She is an incredible source of inspiration to me.

In 50 words or less, write about (choose one only):

  1. the very best Christmas gift Andi could ever receive, or
  2. the very best Christmas gift Andi could give someone else.

Entering is easy. Simply post your “Andi’s Best Gift” entry in the comments below. (I will count words, so please stay under the word count.)

Note: Include your email when posting a comment, but do NOT put your email into the actual comment. (I hope that makes sense.) WordPress asks for a name and an email before you post. Please fill that out. Do not comment “anonymously.” Otherwise, I will not be able to contact you if you win.

Winners will be announced Friday, December 10, on this post, on a new “Christmas Surprise” post, and also on the “Past Seasonal Contests” page. Winners will also be notified privately by email for their mailing addresses.

Two Lucky Winners
  1. First Place Winner receives: the Circle C Christmas Collection and a pair of fun, Christmas “red” horse socks.
  2. Second Place Winner receives the Circle C Christmas Collection

What’s in the collection? Four Christmas short stories. I can’t sell this book, but I can sure give it away with fun contests! Peek inside at the stories.

  1. Andi’s Christmas Good-bye (Riley leaves the Circle C ranch, 1876)
  2. Andi’s White Christmas (Andi is caught in a blizzard, 1877)

  1. The best Christmas gift I ever gave was the teapot I gave mother. It was white with blue flowers and ‘’Mother’’ was painted on it. When Mother opened my gift she was filled with joy. She said, ‘’Andrea this is the most beautiful gift, it’s like the one I broke.’’

  3. Andi’s Best Christmas, Ever
On Christmas morning, Andi jumped out of bed and ran downstairs. Andi opened her first present, it was from Chad. Her face lit up and she jumped up and down. It was a foal that Chad carved out of wood. She ran out to show Taffy.

  4. “Class, what is the best gift you have ever received,” asked Mr. Foster, the day before Thanksgiving. Andi knew what her best gift was. She waved her hand in the air. “The best gift I have received was having Mitch back safe and sound after our trouble with treasure.”

  5. One wintery day, Andi saw a girl begging in the street. Andi went home, but her heart was troubled at the sight. The next day was Christmas and she received a coat! She rode to town and gave it to the girl. Giving to the poor sacrificially is the best.

  7. “Merry Christmas, Andi!” Riley said. Andi opened the box he handed her. “A POCKET KNIFE!” Andi squealed, jumping up and down. “This is the best gift I could ever get ’cause Chad won’t let me use his and I’ve always wanted to whittle a fancy handle for Grandfather’s walking stick.”

  8. For Andi’s Christmas gift I would like to give Andi a saddle blanket with blue and gold colors in it.I think Andi and Taffy would like that very much!! The saddle blanket would be very soft, and not scratchy. And that’s my idea for Andi’s Christmas gift!!!

  9. If I could have her back,
    Just one more time,
    One more day,
If I could hear her tender, delicate neigh,
If I could stroke her flowing, silvery mane,
If I could once more hug her,
    Embrace her golden neck,
This gift would surpass any other

    Oh Taffy,
    My horse.

  10. This is a paragraph about the best Christmas gift Andi has received:

The best Christmas gift I have received was when I was a little girl. It was my first Bible, that was my very own! On the bottom corner it had my name written on it in gold. I’ll always remember the time I received it!!

  12. The best Christmas present that Andi ever received was a silver necklace with these words engraved on it, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3.” She received it from her father the Christmas before he died, and she treasured it always.

  13. “What is the best Christmas present you ever received?” Andi’s daughter asked.
“The best Christmas present was my daughter Emma, who was born on Christmas day. No other present can beat that one,” Andi answered.
    “I’m Emma,” the girl exclaimed.
Andi hugged her, “I love you, my little Christmas present.”

  14. The very best Christmas gift Andi could give someone else would be her friendship. Then she would treat her with kindness and love. She would also be generous to that person. Then, they might be nice right back to her and be kind, loving, and generous just like Andi.

  15. The best gift she could give
    Dear Journal-
It was almost Christmas, and I still didn’t know what to get Riley. Suddenly, I remembered a hat at the general store Riley had shown me. I gave it to him today, and he was so surprised! I think that was the best gift I’ve ever been able to give someone. -Andi

  16. The best Christmas gift Andi could ever get, she already received. The gift of forgiveness from our sins. When Andi accepted Jesus into her heart, she received the best gift she could ever have because now she knows Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
