For those of you who think Justin looks too “old” or for other reasons, I have only one more photo to offer. It’s hard to add to the current post and so someone suggested I simply put up a new post. Good idea. Here it is.

Which do you like best? If you like the purple and both characters looking away like there is a “secret,” well, then you have to go with the original Justin photo. If you don’t like him, this is all I have to offer (and I haven’t bought it yet cuz it’s more expensive than what I normally buy so I want to make sure you all like it better).

Either way, it’s a nice Andi/brother shot and you can decide who it is. Chad or Justin. It actually doesn’t matter who you want it to be, because they all figure prominently into this book. (I gave him a blue shirt cuz the original red was just TOO MUCH RED.)

  1. YESSSS!!! Love the gold one with the new guy! Definitely like him better than the first guy! And I like the gold cover better, since Trouble at the Line Shack is blue/teal!

    1. You are not the only one who mentioned that. Line Shack is a dark green turquoise, and this is more blue turquoise, but I think the gold looks more western (especially the barn setting).

  2. Mrs. Marlow,

Great job on all of the covers! Our family really likes the new Justin with the gold and wagon wheel behind them. The pictures of both of them seem the most proportionate and the gold complements them and the background well.
Thanks for letting us participate! Have a great week.

  3. I love the new Justin!! He looks so much more Justinish. Lol! 😂 And I think I like the gold pic #2. Even though the light streaks don’t look natural but since it’s all you have it will have to do. Your doing a great job though! I can’t wait to see it!!

    1. If this one is the one everyone likes best, I can “work” with the light stripes later. It’s just so much work that I don’t want to do it unless I have to. 🙂

  4. My sister, Jenny and I really like the covers! We both agree we like Gold #2 best. Two votes for that one! The light stripes are a-okay with us!

    1. But with lavender definitely change the light lines. Its a bit graphically confusing with them in there. ~Chantae

  5. I like the way you don’t have the light stripes on Andi in the rusty orange! Will you be able to do that for them all?
    I like Gold 2 best!

  6. I would have to say Rusty Orange is my favorite! Looks good without the sunlight, besides, Andi always has a tan for being out in the sun!

    1. Yes, well I noticed that I overdid the tanning so when the book comes out it will look really bad, so I had to tone it down some. See gold cover. That is back to normal. It may look great on the screen but on the cover? Not so much!

  7. I’m honestly not a fan of Justin on the cover (this one or the one from the previous post) but I am excited about the story inside!😄

  8. The gold one looks too much like dangerous decision for me so I Vote The rust orange in the barn thanks so much for letting us vote on the cover it’s so much fun and I really like the new Justin or Chad

    1. I just realize that Andy’s face looks a little bit different so actually I’ll go with the gold in the barn instead of the rust orange sorry about that

    2. In reality, this is true GOLD and the Dangerous Decision book is darker. My “hue” options are very limited as I try to take an already in print cover and try to change the colors. It’s very frustrating, but I assure you that this gold is different from the DD gold. (The original cover of DD was a real pretty gold, so I was disappointed when the final book came and it was so dark. Boo.)

      1. Gold #1 has always been my favorite, but since it is overwhelmingly gold #2, I’ll probably go with that one. Maybe I’ll try putting the barn setting behind the Gold 1 and see what happens. LOL

  9. You know if you have all these different covers you could make a new book for each one………
I guess you can tell I am hinting something! lol

  10. Question, how come some of the Circle C Adventures books have different covers? Some have the weave and some don’t. Just curious

    1. I’m not sure what you are asking. The old books were all TAN, the same color. These 2015 + “anniversary” edition covers have different colors but they all have the woven border. Is that what you are asking? The books with the woven borders are the new anniversary editions, which have been updated and redone.

      1. Yes! Ok, I get what you mean, I was just wondering because some of the Circle C Adventure books are ‘older’ looking and the weave ones are different. I love the pattern by the way!

  11. I like that one too, but it kinda looks like Andi is leaning on the cover, if you know what i mean. I like Lavender the best because it makes Andi look like the main character (not Justin/Chad) and Justin/Chad actually looks like he knows a terrible secret. They’re all great… but why does Andi have stripes on her shirt in the red one?

    Like

    1. Because the original photo had a lighting issue. Photo in barn but light streaming through a window that I didn’t notice until I saw the pictures later. Boo. I have tried to resolve, but it’s hard to photoshop LIGHT out of a photo

  12. Okay, now I like Gold#1 in barn. One problem is that Justin/Chad is in front of Andi. Since she is the main character, I think she should be the focus on the cover. Also, Justin/Chad’s hands are cut off, and it looks awkward because you can’t tell what he’s doing with them. Other than those things, Gold #1 in barn is great!😊
Is there a scene in a barn in this book? If not, it might be a little weird to have one on the front… just sayin’…..

      1. Yes, I saw that one-I just don’t think it has as good of a pic of Andi. Gold#1 and Gold#1 in barn have a more natural looking photo of her.

    1. Andi is missing her whole left side/arm (the photo came from a picture where she is behind a horse). That’s why she has to have that side hidden somehow, either off the cover (when she’s on the left) or behind Justin (when she’s on the right). So you can see my options are limited. I would LOVE to put her in front of Justin on the RIGHT but that means trying to dig for an extra “arm” from the photo shoot. No mean task, I assure you. But wish me luck. I’ll give it a try.

      1. Oh!! I see. Thanks so much for trying! I love how flexible you’ve been throughout the whole cover process. If it had been me, I would have been like, “ Here’s the cover, guys! Hope you like it! If not, too bad!”😊

      2. It’s always nice to know what the readers think (like that first Justin). My daughter gasped “Terrible!” she said. “Brutally honest.” Yes, she is. You guys are nicer. I will in the end make the final decision, but I value your input!
