February is the perfect time to remind us that although winter is in full swing in most of the country, spring will come! And with it, spring flowers. Today’s Photo Friday showcases all of the wild flowers on Memory Creek ranch. They are everywhere in the spring! (I can’t wait for spring to come again!)
Like the Bible says, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God shall stand forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Here in California, that verse has a lot of meaning because the flower fades mighty fast once the fresh spring rains are over. Then the Golden State truly turns golden for the rest of the spring, summer, and into the fall, until the late winter rains restore. Then the flowers burst back into life just in time for an early California spring (late February and/or early March).
Come, stroll with me through Memory Creek ranch’s foothills and see the pictures God paints. “Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these” (Matthew 6:29). California’s state flower is featured in photo #2. Can you name this flower?
Note from Mrs. M: I took every one of these pictures, so you can see how many different kinds of flowers there are in this one area of the state!

These are so pretty Mrs. M!
Also, how’s Colton doing? Is he still nursing, or is he being weaned again? Has all that water drained yet?
