Yes, that’s right. Shasta is only a couple of months old, but Jewels was successfully bred last month. She is 21 days along, and Kristel got home from the vet very happy at the ultrasound. But she’s super tired (Kristel, not Jewels). Here is a video showing us how she feels right about now, after hauling a mare and a foal to the vet and back. (Kristi stayed in the trailer this time because Shasta does not like loading and unloading.
Happy back at home. You know what this means, right? Another NAME THE FOAL contest next summer! So far, Jewels has had a palomino (Taffy), a buckskin tobiano with lot of white (overo) (Trissy, Kristi’s horse), and a splash palomino this year (Shasta). So, what do you think? Since Rubicon can only sire buckskin or palomino (and the paint splashes that go with it), what do you think she’ll have? I vote for a very golden palomino tobiano with lots of gold and big white splashes (Trissy has a lot of white. I’d like less white and more gold).

Love the music on the video!!
Also, I thought that this was so cool and that maybe you would like to know, but my dream horse has always been a golden palomino ever since I can remember. I just found out about your Circle C books last winter (I got the Circle C Adventures series from my Gramma for Christmas) and when I saw the covers and read that Andi had a Golden Palomino, I feel in love with your books!! (Well, I fell in love with them too because they are Christian, horsy, set in the olden days and so beautifully written!!) Maybe you don’t even care but, I thought that was just so cool!! = )
Thank you!!
Also, congratulations on the new foal!!
Aw… That is so sweet! Yes I do care thanks for writing.
WOW! Congrats on the foal!
Oh yay! That’s so exciting!
